I love when a car color is bight and filled with life, and even more when that car is commonly painted a quiet hue. Then again my love for a bright colored interior is also pretty prevalent. I honestly couldn’t choose. Here are some examples for each category, which one do you prefer?

Bright Exterior, quiet interior:

Elegant on the outside, bold on the inside. Which is why my favorite color combo on cars is black over saddle/tan or black over red.

I tend to like more muted interiors and more colorful exteriors. The inside of your car shouldn’t distract you while you are driving. My favorite combo is usually a darker blue with a beige or brown interior.

One exception is I do find myself lusting after alpine white with red interior BMW M3’s.

Red BMW interiors are damn convincing.

Tough call. I guess I would go for the bright interior.

My favorite interior color is cappucino, and I like it with an exterior color which accentuates the shape of the vehicle. For example, the best color to accentuate the F-Type coupe, lunar grey-

That’s what I was going to choose first, but I can’t resist bright colored German cars.

I never would buy an F-Type in gray, but I see what you mean.

Nice combo.

Yo, Sam, I’m really happy for you, I’ma let you finish, but British Racing Green is one of the best colours of all time! One of the best colours of all time!

I'd rather have a subdued, attention-deferring color and a lovely, happy, light-feeling interior, at least on a typical car. My current car is silver with black leather (I would have preferred tan, but used car + great deal), as was its direct predecessor. The car before that was blue-green with a tan interior. Before that, blue on blue, then red interior over tan exterior, and the first car was gray interior with a lovely gray-blue exterior.

However, when I play with online car customizers and shop for newer cars, they are almost always a pretty colored exterior - natural hues, like green, blue, perhaps a light gray or silver - with a tan interior and a moonroof to brighten up the interior. I didn't want another black interior car - it can feel like a cave sometimes - but the light gray headliner and pillars and moonroof made it acceptable. I have to use windshield sun blockers to keep the seat from getting top hot, even with the mild window tint.

But if I had the money for a supercar, specifically a McLaren (any), it would be McLaren Orange, with a tan interior with orange accents. If I had money for multiple McLarens, my garage would look like the inside of a Skittles bag, with bright, happy hues of yellow, green, and blue - plus the aforementioned orange - and tan and matching-exterior accents.

I would never willingly own a red car. My wife's car is a reddish-purple - Mazda's "Dark Cherry Metallic" - but it's a rare enough color that it isn't cloying or offensive, and it looks good on the car. Black cars are definitely out unless I'm being chauffeured somewhere: Too damn hot in the summer, dirt shows too easily, and scratches and other damage stand out more.

a bright-colored outside is more of an immediate eye-catcher, but a bright interior is more for a discerning taste.

If it were my choice, I'd match exterior and interior.

So B5 blue challenger ,with B5 blue suede seat inserts

Good answer, I love bright exterior colors as well and share with you the need of a sunroof to lighten up the interior.
